Among the types of dental implant abutments: What is the difference between a personalized abutment and an original finished abutment?

How many types of dental implant abutments are there?
Generally, there are 3 types of dental implant abutments, namely, the original abutment, the personalized abutment, and some partial abrasive abutments; if further subdivided, they can be divided into common abutments and composite abutments.
However, in most cases, the common abutment is the original finished abutment (for single restorations) and the composite abutment is the personalized abutment (for multiple restorations).

But what is the difference between a personalized abutment and a finished abutment?

Finished abutments, i.e., the original generic abutments, are abutments made by the implant company and do not allow modifications or adjustments in clinical application.
Its advantage is that it is economical and fits better with the implant, but its disadvantage is that it cannot be fixed according to the customer's dental condition.
The personalized abutment is customized according to the customer's gum morphology and is suitable for many types of dental situations, and is not only aesthetically pleasing but also less prone to chipping; however, the disadvantage is that it is more expensive.
