With the rapid development of digital dentistry, edentulous implant restorations have entered an era of precision and immediacy. Intraoral photogrammetry systems, as key tools for implant positioning, utilize photogrammetric technology to achieve fast and accurate measurement of implant positions, significantly improving the efficiency of full-arch implant data acquisition.

In edentulous patients, implants are often widely distributed, and the large distances between adjacent scanbodies and limited anatomical landmarks can lead to layered or distorted scan data. Additionally, digital impressions can introduce errors during image stitching, especially because the edentulous alveolar ridge lacks anatomical reference points suitable for capturing point cloud data. As a result, clinicians still face challenges such as insufficient scanning accuracy and data distortion when handling edentulous cases.
