Effects of Scan Body Deformation

Usually, each implant company will have a corresponding scan body database for data matching, and each scan body will have a corresponding feature surface and top platform. If the scan body is deformed, the data matching in the design software will be Unable to match the implant database in the complete scan body.

The main reasons for the deformation of the scanbody 

Because the characteristic surface of the scan body is symmetrical, if there is no adjacent tooth or gingiva as a reference object during scanning and matching, the software will match the symmetrical place, resulting in deformation.

How to solve scan body deformation problem

1. When encountering the problem of slight deformation of the scan body, do not perform post-processing first, and scan the area of the scan bar repeatedly to automatically optimize it.

2. If the deformation of the scan body is too large, and the software is not optimized in real time after scanning the scan body area for a period of time, it is necessary to rescan
