The effect of hot tea or coffee on dental implants

Because dental implants involve metal screws, drinking any kind of hot beverage will heat the metal. Unlike your normal teeth, this kind of tooth does not heat too much, and this metal can reach dangerous temperatures and damage the tissues in the gums. Ultimately, this may cause the cells implanted in the implant to fail, causing it to fall off or loosen. This doesn't mean you have to give up tea or coffee completely; just make sure the liquid is cool enough before drinking it.
