Temporary Abutment Engaging Brånemark NP is a temporary structure used in dental implant surgery. It is typically made of metal or plastic and is used to temporarily attach to the implant fixture, which is surgically placed in the jawbone, until the final abutment is placed. The temporary abutment helps maintain the shape of the gum tissue around the implant site during the healing process, and it also allows the patient to wear a temporary crown or bridge while waiting for the permanent restoration to be fabricated. Once the implant site has fully healed, the temporary abutment is removed and replaced with the final abutment and permanent restoration.
