INSTRUCTIONS

1.Product Description 

The Scanbody implant is a device used to establish the virtual 3D position of the implant in relation to the oral cavity. It is made up of three elements: titanium base, body and titanium insertion screw.

2.Intended use 

The Scanbody sits directly on the implant connection or on an element transepithelial, depending on the model, serving as a reference during the process of intraoral CAD/CAM scanning, or in the laboratory, to later carry out the design and machining of prosthetic restorations.

3.Indications 

The purpose of use is to facilitate the transmission of information between the clinic and the laboratory in relation to prosthetic restorations on implants, through the incorporation of digital technology. This will allow the processing of the scanned images and the subsequent design and manufacture of structures and accessories in the laboratory, through specific software, improving precision and reproducibility in the manufacture of prostheses on the implant.

4.Procedure

Carry out the following checks:

5.Contraindications 

Allergy and hypersensitivity to the chemical components of the materials used, titanium alloys.

6.Side effects and interactions 

It is recommended to follow the instructions for use recommended by the manufacturer. an improper use of the product may lead to harm to the patient such as infections and/or swallowing of the product or an incorrect scan result.

7.Cleaning, disinfection and sterilization

Upon detection of any packaging defect, the product should not be used, and should be contact the manufacturer. All ScanBodies are supplied clean and conveniently packaged. The scanbody is sold non-sterile. Before use, the professional must carry out the cleaning and sterilization. Chirimen recommends always carrying out a previous cleaning with products used in the sector dental, relying on ultrasonic baths or automatic methods of cleaning and disinfection and then proceed to sterilization. Before sterilizing, products must be transferred from their original container to another suitable for such effect. Sterilization must be carried out in a wet steam autoclave at 121ºC for 15 minutes. or 134ºC at a minimum of 3 minutes, according to UNE-EN-ISO 17665-1:2007, in bags or boxes of sterilization. Do not use the product after sterilization if any damage to the packaging is observed. It must be taken into account that materials can suffer wear throughout their life cycle, Therefore, Chirimen recommends a maximum of 20 sterilizations per element, within which the quality characteristics of the product are preserved.

8.Warnings

Before use, it must be checked that the material is in perfect condition and there are no damaged parts. disassembled, to prevent aspiration or swallowing of part or all of the components. In addition, it is highly recommended to check that the product is clean and disinfected and that the patient connection area is clean and free of debris. 9.Precautions 

Chirimen recommends not using the product after a maximum of 20 sterilizations, with its corresponding cleaning and disinfection, for the guaranteed maintenance of your functions. It should be especially noted that each reference must be used in combination with elements that are dimensionally compatible and that are indicated on the product label itself

10.Compatibility
