Dental Implant Impression Coping

An implant impression coping is a small attachment that connects to an implant in the jawbone and is used during the process of making an impression of the teeth. It helps to create a precise and accurate mold of the implant site, which is then used to create custom-fitted dental restorations such as crowns or bridges. The impression coping is made from a biocompatible material such as titanium or zirconia and can come in different shapes and sizes depending on the type of implant and the location in the mouth.

Products Description

The Open tray Dental Implant Impression Coping technique, which involves using trays with windows and a transfer system with a fixed screw to take impressions, is known as the open tray technique. First, the transfer rod is fixed to the implant using a fixed screw, and individual trays with windows are used to ensure the fixed screw can pass through the window. Then, a tray with silicone rubber impression material is positioned in the mouth for about 4-5 minutes until the material solidifies. After loosening the fixed screw, the tray is removed from the mouth along with the transfer system. A replacement cap is then installed inside the impression, fixed to the transfer rod with a fixed screw, and the area is imprinted with gypsum to create a dental model. The open tray technique is highly accurate, but is relatively complicated to operate and can be difficult to use in the posterior teeth. Currently, over 95% of dentists use the Dental Implant Impression Coping technique.
