Straumann Custom Abutment

Straumann Custom Abutment is an abutment that is individually designed or modified by doctors and technicians according to the patient's unique implant placement position, gingival shape, and tooth gap. Personalized abutments mainly include computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing, CAD/CAM, etc. Cylindrical abutments can be used to make implant-level restorations, and obtain a more ideal shape under the doctor's adjustment. CAD/CAM abutment refers to the abutment that is designed and assisted by computer. Its outstanding feature is to use computer to analyze and image the model data and design the shape of the shoulder, and then use CNC precision machine tools to cut and make the abutment. Currently commonly used materials are titanium alloy, zirconia and so on. CAD/CAM abutment has many advantages such as high precision, good transgingival shape, low cost, and short time-consuming, and has become the main choice for aesthetic zone restoration.
